Do It Yourself Halloween Masks

Now this is a craft I am absolutely going to try out with the kids. The good people over at HowStuffWorks posted instructions on how to make your own Halloween masks. Let’s face it – this holiday can be very expensive! What a great way to cut down costs and spend quality time with the kids.

Make Your Own Candy Bars

I’m about to blow your mind… I can’t even express how excited I am about this article from Chow.com. They take our favorite chocolate treats and break down how to MAKE THEM AT HOME. Holla if you hear me.  They had me at Reese Peanut Butter Cups.

For the filling:

* 1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
* 3/4 cup powdered sugar
* 3/4 cup natural crunchy peanut butter (no added sugar)

For the chocolate coating:

* 1 pound milk chocolate couverture, such as El Rey 41 percent milk chocolate Discos

Organic Fruit You Squeeze – Revolution Foods

I’m VERY excited about this product I just found online called Organic Mashups. Perfect for a lunchbox snack, Revolution Foods took real organic fruit and made a variety of purees. So easy! Comes in Grape, Berry, Tropical, and Strawberry Banana.

The cap is resealable and there is NO sugar added.
