Looking for a kid-pleaser that is easy to make and packs a powerful punch during cold and flu season? Try this Power-C Smoothie – most of the ingredients are already on hand in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup low-fat milk or vanilla soymilk
  • 12 + ice cubes
  • 1 small can orange juice concentrate
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 cup sugar

Preparation:

Get the kids involved! Have your little ones pour and measure all the ingredients into a blender. Blend until frothy and smooth. Add more ice cubes if needed to make a thicker consistency. Pour into tall glasses, add a big straw, and top with an orange slice! Yum!
