Ronald McDonald House New York Presents Skate With The Greats

INOMommy was invited to celebrate The 16th Annual Skate with the Greats event to benefit Ronald McDonald House New York. The New York Rangers Greats, including Brian Leetch, Rob Gilbert, Adam Graves, who ice skated with children and signed autographs for 2 hours! The event was held to raise money for children in Ronald McDonald House, a facility that offers pediatric cancer patients and their families a place to stay during treatment. One of the patients, Sandra, came with her mother to thank everyone for their support. Her story was heart breaking; she has been battling bone cancer for over 2 years and said that her stay in Donald McDonald House has been like a celebrity treatment. More than 25,000 children have stayed at the house, living the life they wouldn’t have otherwise while undergoing intense treatments.
Skate with the Greats also held a silent auction which raised over $52,000 in half an hour for the Ronald McDonald. One of the items auctioned off for $10,000 was a “Luxury Suite Experience,” which includes a luxury suite and Rangers game for 20 people.
