We’re entering spring and everyone’s celebrating the return of color. Some lines, though, are translating the muted tones of winter to light, airy pieces that are perfect for spring. Line & Dot is a brand new line, seeing as its only 3 months old. You can tell it’s spanking new because of its fresh take on seasoned classics.
This line focuses on natural shapes, colors, textures and patterns found in nature and infusing these elements into sophisticated, minimal looks for the woman who wants no-fuss clothes for everyday life.
Line & Dot also hopes to bring affordable, high quality clothes to the market, while not compromising on style and comfort. Some of the fabrics used are silk, jersey and cashmere blends. It even sounds comfy! With a collection of dresses, sweaters, tops and bottoms, one can find basic items with a fun twist.
Line & Dot utilizes the raglan sleeve liberally. One of the my favorites is a simple dusty beige top with a decorated scull adorning the front. The contrast between the feminine shape and the hard-edged scull won’t be lost on the average shopper. Another one of my favorites is a top done in what appeared to be silk jersey, with jeweled embellishment on the sleeves. This can be worn with jeans or dressed up with a black mini and heels. Versatile items like these increase the value of your purchases because you can get more wear out of the item.
Line & Dot is currently based in LA and will be available in specialty stores in Canada and the U.S. this month.
