Last week, I attended the Big Apple BBQ Block Party and had the opportunity to check out Cascal. The company had a little booth and was giving away free samples of their fruity beverage. This all natural drink has a very grown up taste (almost like wine) except there is no alcohol. I kept asking if I was going to get drunk and they kept assuring me it wasn’t that kind of party. LOL!!
There are three flavors to choose from and all are available at Whole Foods. Most certainly worth a shot! Next time you go food shopping be sure to check it out.

I tasted the "Crisp White" at a Baltimore coffee shop...it's amazing. Complex and fruity and a little sweet, the way wine is often described without the distraction of alcohol. I actually prefer it to real wine, so it would be a nice alternative for those who can't imbibe. Yum!
