The Fashion Delivers Charitable Foundation held their annual Pay It Fashion Forward event, hosted by Emmanuelle Chriqui and Bryan Greenberg. Fashion Delivers collected over $25 million in product donations to send to Haiti and proceeds from this event will go towards the shipping costs.
The event was held at the Lucky Strikes Lane and Lounge in NYC. The foundation works to encourage clothing industries to donate new merchandise in the hopes of helping disaster victims and other people in need. They seem to have done an amazing job with the Haiti relief effort. They chose to honor select individuals that have made an impact in the green world.
Activist and first eco-model Summer Rayne Oakes was the first honoree. The others were Carlos Campos, Rose Marie Swift, Lane Carlson and Helena Houdova. After the presentation, Forever 21 and HerCut displayed the latest styles that will be in stores soon. The HerCut team did the hair for the show and used some brand new products from their line.
I got a peak at some of the organized chaos backstage. HerCut did the hair for the show and the team used products that are not even in stores yet. The team did chic bobs and ponytails for the models, emphasizing on taming fly-aways and giving the hair natural body and movement. The Ponytail Styling Lotion was used to slick hair back and keep hair movable but shiny. I love that they also are launching a styling balm for the Curly Ponytail. This one maintains curly strands while guarding against frizz and humidity.
One of the models had a blunt bob with bangs and the stylist used HerCut’s new Styling Spray (in Hold The Line) which leaves the hair touchable and shiny even AFTER brushing. It also dries super fast, which means less prep time in the morning for you. These products are all brand spanking new and will be in Sephora stores this July.
