I told you a few weeks ago I had a trainer walk me through the gym and teach me how to use the equipment (yes, I needed that). During our talk, my boyfriend trainer said that I have to change things up a bit. I can’t just do the strength training circuit for the rest of my life. As with anything, I need variety. He suggested I take up a sport, go swimming etc.
So – I decided the sport will be tennis. I have no idea if I will be good or if I will even enjoy it. Odds are I won’t because I am just about the laziest person you will ever meet. My mind is in tip top shape. I can accomplish just about anything I set out to do. My body – on the other hand – never got that memo and much rather just hang around the kiddie pool with my friends.
But here we are! Giving it a go. Bill is calling around trying to find me the best deal. My town pool does lessons but they aren’t private and then there’s this country club but who knows how much that will be. Either way – I’m seriously going to try the sport out.
My GOAL is to get Natalie doing tennis too and then have some girl bonding time with her when she ages. One of my friends told me last night that she actually bought her a tennis racket (thanks Cheryl!!) for her birthday. So I am just SUPER excited about the whole thing.
Bill said he even would want to take lessons with me! Wants to do a couple’s thing. It might be fun for the whole family.
