Everyone is gearing up for Fashion Week, including Aveda. They held their Pre-Fashion Week Tweet-Up, an event where bloggers got a bit of pampering, before the madness begins. Stylists were on hand to show us looks to try during the week. Makeup artists were available to give us touch-ups and tell us more about Aveda’s makeup line.
I opted for a massage as opposed to a hair styling session. Firstly, who knew Aveda stylists were so good at massages? Apparently, they always give massages before hair treatments. The massage hit the spot, no pun intended. Then, I got a hand massage and had my chakras aligned. They were all seemingly out of wack. Then, I got my makeup touched up by one of their makeup artists, who flew into NY for this week. She told me that, even though I have really oily skin, I should always moisturize.
This Fashion Week, Aveda will be doing the hair at the Christian Siriano, Jason Wu and Rodarte shows, to name a few. To find out more about Aveda, go to www.aveda.com.
