Jessica Simpson held a private event in NYC to launch her new denim line. The event was DJed by her brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, and attended by her closest friends, who she styled for the event, in items from her clothing, shoe and jewelry line. The outfits all centered around jeans from her latest collection. The collection included skinnys, jeggings, boot-legs and distressed jeans.
At the event, Jessica styled her sister, Ashlee, as well as several friends, including her publicist, her former assistant, CaCee Cobb, her current assistant, her makeup artist and several childhood friends. Ashlee was dressed in a shirt from the denim collection and a mini ruffled black skirt, while Jessica wore a mini denim dress. Her friends all strutted the makeshift runway, as Jessica introduced each one. Her mother was also in attendance, to support her.
I tried one of the jeans from the line, the regular skinny. At first, I wasn’t sure about how light the grey wash was but when I tried it on, I loved it. There are pockets at the back that are very flattering and the wash is casual cool.
