Deep Dish Pizza And A Full Day With The Kraft Delicious Byte Crew

On Sunday night I flew home from Ohio. 7AM Monday morning I was heading right back to the airport for a quick trip to Chicago. The bags under my eyes are proof enough that I am no longer a spring chicken. LOL! Mama is TIRED.

When I landed yesterday afternoon, I checked in and then headed straight to Gino’s Pizza. My husband used to work in Chicago for a few months and I used to come visit him on the weekends. It was the only place I had on my list of “things to do” while in town.

The lunch special – which was a small sized pizza, a large soda and a side salad – was only $6.95!! Can you beat it?

That night I met up with the Kraft Delicious Byte Crew. The women are from all over the country and I didn’t know a single one. I always  love to meet new bloggers and check out their sites – so this was a real treat for me. Here’s who is part of the group:

·Andrea of Moody Mama Says

· Barb of Blogfully

· Brandy of Not So Average Mama

· Danielle of Home Ever After

· Elizabeth of Busy Mom

· Elizabeth of Table 4 Five

· Jen of The Mom Reviews

· Jennifer of The Dirty Shirt

· Jessi of Jabbering Jessi/Stay at Home Mom Cooks

· Kelli of 3 Boys and a Dog

· Kim of Mommy Knows

· Liz of This Full House

· Stephanie of And Twins Make 5!

· and me

We had dinner and a few laughs. Now we are off to Kraft’s test kitchens and I cannot WAIT to get my hands dirty. I’m all about cooking (as some of you know) so this is a true treat.

But while I’m talking about pizza… I have to know… do you prefer deep dish or brick oven style?

A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, Philip Morris Capital Corporation, engages in various leasing and investment activities. As used herein, unless the context indicates otherwise, the term “Company” means Philip Morris Companies Inc. and its subsidiaries. The Company is the largest consumer packaged goods company in the world.*

Philip Morris Incorporated (“PM Inc.”), which conducts business under the trade name “Philip Morris U.S.A.,” is engaged in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes. PM Inc. is the largest cigarette company in the United States. Philip Morris International Inc. (“Philip Morris International” or “PMI”) is a holding company whose subsidiaries and affiliates and their licensees are engaged primarily in the manufacture and sale of tobacco products (mainly cigarettes) internationally. Marlboro, the principal cigarette brand of these companies, has been the world’s largest-selling cigarette brand since 1972.

  3. I swing both ways! LOL! I am a HUGE fan of a NY slice, but I do love a good deep dish once in a while. I’m a pizza freak, what can I say?

  4. Oh man Vera, you’re killing me with that pizza photo! It was so hard to be right next door to Gino’s and not be able to eat it!

It was so wonderful meeting you. I’d love to work with you in the future, perhaps I can participate in Getting Gorgeous at BlogHer next year? I’m sure we’ll keep in touch through Delicious Byte!
