It’s that time of year. The time when I always feel fortunate for all that I have. I complain throughout the year because my house is too small, my bank account is too small, etc, etc. But in reality, I live in San Diego where the weather is amazing, I have 2 healthy happy kids and I have a man that loves me dearly AND we have a roof over our heads and food on our table! Really, what more could I need? I am very fortunate!
This year I’m looking for ways to give back. I can’t save the world, but I can help in small ways! One way I found to help was to support Little Lamb Kidz. They are working with SmileTrain, a non-profit dedicated to eradicating cleft lips and palates in children in 3rd world countries. Cleft Lip and Palates are the most common type of birth defect to the head and face for children worldwide. Children with cleft lip/palates suffer from multiple health issues including difficulty breathing, eating, language and speech delays, and hearing loss among other problems. Multiple surgeries are required and SmileTrain is there to help.
