When Is The Next Time You Will Look At A Scale?

I don’t know why I did… but this morning I got on my scale and almost passed out. Thanksgiving is GREAT – but it does damage to my thighs! UGH — And it’s not even over. There are a gazillion family gatherings / holiday parties coming up over the next 6 weeks.

I might try to avoid the scale at all costs until January 1st. Make that February 1st! Easier said than done, right?

When is the next time you plan on jumping on the scale?

  1. I will not go on a scale until February 1st!!! Why torture myself??? You’ll enjoy the holidays more if you don’t go on the scale.

  2. As long as the pants fit! Seriously, I think it’s better not to go overboard over the Holiday’s, it’s just going to be more work afterwards, and let’s be honest, how many of us say “I’ll loose that weight in January and eat those cookies now” but never actually make this diet? I suck at diets, so for me it’s just easier to eat less cookies and stuff now than having to diet later.

  3. I’ll go weigh in this coming week at WW and stay for the mtg (although sometimes they aren’t very inspiring, they at least get me thinking and trying to stay on track). My goal is to not gain weight during the holidays. I don’t know if I’ll make it. The last time I made this goal though at WW, I wound up losing weight when I weighed in Jan 1. AND I did not deprive myself. I notice though that my weight just gets more difficult to maintain as I age, bah.

    • I was DREADING getting on the WW scale last weekend. I even told them I know I gained weight. Well, what do you know? I actually lost 2 lbs! Crazzzzzeeeeee! I have only lost a total of 10 lbs since I re-joined WW almost six months ago… that’s right. 10 lbs in 6 months. I am taking it slowly this time.

  4. Thanks for reminding me :-))) I haven’t been on scale for ages. But i expect to loose some, i cut down on eating meat big time – started in May. Family and friends did notice the weight going down, but i never thought to check the scales! will do now and it’ll be fun to see the number after New Year:-)))

  6. I haven’t voluntarily gotten on a scale in YEARS. When I have to be weighed at the doctor I REFUSE to look so I have no clue what I weigh. My clothes have been a little tighter lately and I would like to lose a few pounds so I’ll just cut back on the sweets and soda and be good. As long as I feel good I’m fine. I absolutely refuse to be a slave to a scale.
