Let’s Make A Healthy Choice This Holiday Season

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about stepping on the scale for the first time in a LONG time. The number shocked me. I’m talking minor heart attack. I’m not going to beat myself up about holiday weight gain because you almost can’t HELP gaining weight this time of the year. I mean, it’s one party after the other!!!

So, I’ve been thinking about ways to manage my weight without it interfering with my social calendar. I’m not the type of person who can stay away from the buffet table if I SEE the buffet table. I have impulse issues and they are really  hard to control.

Instead of avoiding parties with friends, I’m going to make better decisions while at home. I’m going to take control of the meals I know I have full control over and Healthy Choice is going to walk me through the next few weeks. ‘

Have you checked out their new Steaming Entrees?  I am a SUCKER for steamed vegetable packs while cooking dinner, so I’m all about having a FULL lunch prepared the same way. My son is the only one I have to worry about for lunch these days as my daughter is in full time school. He’s very content with a peanut butter sandwich. So, I’ve just made my life a whole lot easier!

  1. Vera – I have to ask, how do you feel about the sodium quantities in these freezer meals. I mean I used to eat them in the past and they do seem so tempting and easy but when you look at how much sodium is in them it is kind of ridiculous and not helping with water retention and bloat to consume that much sodium. What do you think?

    1. I believe everything is fair in moderation. When I’m unable to make myself a healthy meal this is most certainly a better alternative than me running out and grabbing fast food. In reality, I have to do what is best for me and when making those decisions on a time crunch, I know that Healthy Choice is the right option.

  2. I’ve never had Heathy Choice, I’m too picky of a eater to eat pre-made meals. I cook everything, although i do use packaged rice and noodles. Everyone I know that uses Healthy Choice have wonderful things to say about it. For lunch i usually have left-overs or a sandwich (lunch meat or tuna) When i’m out I’ll eat a turkey sandwich or salad (again very picky- which kinda sux)

  3. Todd has to watch his sodium and these Healthy Choice steamers are one of the best re: sodium content according to him.
