Snowshoeing In Utah With EARTHTEC

I’ve been dying to find a moment to sit down and write about this amazing company I just learned about called EARTHTEC. The brand leads the way with cutting-edge recycled and sustainable textiles, innovative fresh designs and smart manufacturing techniques. If you are looking for an eco-clothing company, you’ve found it.

I seriously wish them world dominance. I want to be able to walk into any store and see their apparel line for sale. No really. Not kidding – this company needs to go viral because not only do they make comfortable clothing that can handle any harsh element, but they have a great look and a wonderful team backing it all.

Last week, I had the opportunity to test out a few EARTHTEC products while snowshoeing in Park City, Utah. At first, when the group got together, I had on a much heavier jacket. Jim Barrett – the brand representative – told me I should reconsider my decision and opt for something lighter.

I didn’t believe him that I would stay warm wearing this soft-shell jacket. BUT I DID STAY WARM! In fact, I was almost sweating!! Then again, that might have been because I am completely out of shape. Seriously, at one point I just stopped and let the group go on without me. I saw my life flash before my eyes and was ready to let it all go. The group noticed… the difficulty… I was having shoeing up the mountain and decided to let me rest and catch my breath stop and take pictures. I stabilized and then off we went.

But I digress… The jacket provided amazing wind protection while still remaining breathable. For $99, it fits into everyone’s budget.

Besides the jacket, I tested out the Sassafras 1/4 zip fleece which I’ve worn a good 5 times since returning from Utah. It is so SOFT and light and the color just pops. You know that feeling you get when you are wrapped up in a really plush blanket? That’s what wearing this fleece feels like minus the bulk. Available in a variety of colors for $44.

And don’t get me started on these socks! Their eco-comfort socks are unbeatable and made out of recycled plastic bottles. WHAT? How is that possible!?  If you have a friend that is into earth friendly products, these socks need to be placed on your list!

End result, check EARTHTECH out. You can read all about their story and vision here.

I'd find a reason to wear the fleece jacket and the black jacket even though I live in Florida. Like schedule a trip to somewhere cold.

I'm not a skier, but I like to stay warm and look good. Does that count? I love those jackets!!

Wow, the EARTHTEC gear looks so pretty and soft! I've never been skiing in my life, isn't that terrible?

Those socks look so warm and fuzzy. As I was reading I was looking at your jacket thinking, she must be FREEZING but man does she look comfy. Great pictures and what an awesome opportunity.

I'm still looking for where I can win that black jacket. BECAUSE I WANT THAT BLACK JACKET. I'm a bit of a jacket and coat fiend. I splurged this year with a North Face jacket but kind of regret it a little. And I have a big down jacket from Lands End. But there's always room in my closet for one more!
