About Vera:

Hi! Thanks for visiting "Lady and the Blog". I would love for you to learn a little more about me and my family! Hope you enjoy your visit!

NYFW: Tamara Pogosian

I attended Tamara Pogosian’s afterparty, hours after her show and got a chance to chat with the talented designer.

What was your inspiration for the collection?

I was inspired by mystery and earth tones. I grew up in Moscow so it tied into my childhood.

When did you start designing?

I grew up in Moscow and fell in love with glamour really early on. I moved to New York at age 14, went to Parsons then went to FIT. I’ve had my own line since I was 25. I’m now 33. I want my clothes to draw attention to the woman wearing them. I want her to stand out while looking elegant. The clothes are very special occasion driven. I want them to be flattering to women.

Where are your clothes made?

All my clothes are manufactured in New York.

Where can we buy your clothing?

I sell to private clients and I’m in the process of setting up my website www.tamarapogosian.com.

After I interviewed Tamara, I hung out at the after-party and got to catch a performance by the talented Rob Murat, whose music video Tamara styled.
