  1. Is it really really bad that I don’t even know what exfolliate means? Sigh. I need to hire someone to help me with make up and beauty so I don’t ruin my 3 daughters lives.

  2. I’ve never heard of doing a mask in the shower. You’re supposed to leave the mask on a good 5-10 minutes or until the mask dries completely. The steam from the shower would make it REALLY difficult for the mask to dry well. And one would waste a lot of water waiting that long for the mask to dry while keeping the shower running. I always do spa treatments in the bubble bath. Slap on that mask, and lean back in the warm bubble bath w/the latest Marie Claire magazine. At the same time, make sure you have a deep conditioner on your hair. Multi-tasking while relaxing. Love it.
What kind of mask are you talking about for the shower, Vera? Is it a moisturizing mask instead of one that hardens?

Lynnie: Exfoliate just means that you’re sloughing the dead skin off your face and body. You can use a special scrub w/a loofah or a back brush…or those exfoliating gloves they sell at the drugstore. I hate exfoliating because no matter WHAT I do, the dry skin stays on my nose. I swear to you, I could get an electric sanding belt and use it on my nose, and yep. Dry skin still there.

    1. I don’t have any on in the video – I have MAC powder on – but I LOVE Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. Then I mix Mac cover up with Clinique cover up to match my skin when I go out at night. πŸ™‚

      1. Well I am totally jealous of your flawless skin!! What skin care products do you use?

And I also love Laura Mercier πŸ˜‰

        1. DDF moisturizer, spray toner from some sample I received, Dr. Michelle Copeland acne control (on a cotton ball), and eye moisturizer from a spa I went to last year. you are way too kind seriously. i have TERRIBLE skin.

          1. Vera – dear one, if you have terrible skin, then you must have great lighting. Not trying to kiss up or anything, but yeah, the other posters are right! If you have any skin probs, they sure as heck aren’t showing up. At all. Your skin does look flawless and glowing. Now let me go puke. LOL! No, what I’ll do is take close-ups of MY skin, and then YOU’LL puke. πŸ˜‰

  3. Gorgeous complexion!!! Vera, do you have acne problems? I only ask because you mentioned using an acne product. If so, could you recommend a product that would help with acne scars??

    1. I have rosacea – so yes I do. I like Michelle Copeland’s line. But don’t know much about scars. πŸ™ wish I knew more.

      1. Hey Julie! I have a huge acne scar that looks like a lunar pit. Of course it is right in between my eyes. I read that Bio-Oil is great for scars (and there are coupons ALL over for it right now). I went to CVS and wound up buying the knock-off version of Bio-Oil for $10. It’s also supposed to work for brown spots, wrinkles…and something else.

        1. OH! Also I bought the Johnson & Johnson Scar Therapy (bandage aisle) and am cutting it into small, workable pieces and am starting to use it. I also have a huge scar across my throat from being mugged last fall. JK…not about the scar, but it’s from surgery. It’s a lovely thing to see. I call myself “Slash”.

  4. I guess I sounded like a know-it-all, so let me tone it down a bit because I’m really curious and always wanting to learn something new! Here was my question:

What kind of mask are you talking about for the shower, Vera? Is it a moisturizing mask instead of one that hardens?

      1. the one I have is supposed to harden – but it doesn’t go all the way – you are right. But it does change consistency and my skin feels much smoother after. Once I use all of it, I’m going to do a bit more research for bath masks. πŸ™‚
