LATB was invited for an evening of wine and food tasting with Food Network’s Anne Burrell and Wente Vineyards’ Karl Wente. Collaboration between the two resulted in a new California wine portfolio called entwine.
Entwine wines are paired up with meals and snacks for a perfect combination. The pairing food possibilities are included on the back label of every bottle for an easy find of a tasty match.
California wines are my favorite because of its sweetness and trying special combination picked out by professionals was a real treat. My favorite wine was Cabernet Sauvignon which I tried with steak.
The initial line of entwine wines is now available nationwide with the 2009 vintage of four varietals, including Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, retailing for $12.99 each.
