Let’s talk about the importance of sports in a child’s life. Not only does it help keep our young healthy and active, but it also instills a sense of teamwork and unity.
Sun. Friendship. And some cardio? Well, if that isn’t a win-win-win, I don’t know what is!
It’s also a great way to stay close with your community. After all, what are all the parents doing while their kids are running around kicking a ball? We are laughing, cheering, bonding and forming lasting friendships that hopefully will remain in tact for years to come.
Besides, in the day and age of the video game, we as parents need to make a SERIOUS effort to get (and keep) our kids outside. I don’t want to sound like my grandpa… but… when I was young, I was outdoors all day long. No, I didn’t walk 20 miles to school barefoot or anything like that, but I did play tag, Red Rover, corners, hop scotch and more…
So, now it’s your turn.
