Getting Ready For NYFW The Old School Way

Two days ago, at about 8:30PM, I dragged the entire family to Target to buy a $.40 Marble Composition Book. I cannot keep up with all that’s happening for Fashion Week. Who can remember this all?! Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend most of these shows. In fact, my writers are going in my place for practically ALL of them. It’s just a crazy week for me – thank goodness for those young girls with all of their young energy.

Being in your 30s is… draining. LOL! Maybe it’s the two kids – who knows?

Either way, I’m pretty sure this is my 7th or 8th season. I can sit one out and not feel like I’m depriving myself of much.

I will be in to do a few cool things. I’ll be going backstage with Clairol for the Catherine Malandrino show and meeting Salma Hayek with CVS. She just launched a new beauty line (that I am obsessed with – I still have to do a video on it all). There is also a Robert Verdi Twitter party that I might pop into. So, it will be fun – just not 7 days of fun.

Anyway, I could have done this all on a spreadsheet… but there is something about a marble notebook and a highlighter that brings a girl back!!!

  1. I find that I use notebooks and “physical” calendars more and more lately. I just have this need to see it all laid out – not on a little phone screen. and to be able to scribble here and there and whatnot…it makes me feel more in control or something. LOL.
