Field Report: Bebe Spring 2012 Fashion Week Show #NYFW

The Bebe Spring/Summer 2012 collection is absolutely my kind of clothing. Whimsical, romantic, and soft, this collection was presented entirely in whites and creams and ivories. Just about the only color on the runway was the makeup, which featured bright pink cheeks and baby pink lips.

The models wore giant white wigs, sunglasses, and white boots and socks, and this uniformity really helped to show off the intricacies and details of the outfits. Skirts flowed and draped, and ruffles were found everywhere in the collection, from the bathing suits to the maxi dresses. Sheer organza and lace detailing could also be found throughout the wide range of pieces that included corsets, pantaloons, tailored jackets, and wide-legged trousers.

Although it is extremely hard to narrow it down, my favourite pieces were the ivory lace up boots, flowing dresses that came up short in the front, and the ivory anoraks.
