Shiseido debuted some of their Fall 2011 products today with a fun audio tour by Dick Page, Shiseido’s Artistic Director. When I arrived, I got outfitted with an ipod. For each item on display, there was an audio recording to explain the product, as well as Dick Page’s inspiration and thoughts on it.
There were skincare products, like the Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream. Quite a mouthful, right? Well, apparently, the performance is as major as its name. This cream is supposed to prevent the first stages of wrinkle formation. I’ve been using anti-aging products since I was 25 because its the only thing that works wonders on my chronic pimples. I’m happy that this product is targeted to my age group and doing so much more.
There is also the Future Solution LX Ultimate Regenerating Serum. This is great for if you’re already seeing signs of aging. It strengthens the skin by protecting it from environmental stressors, while helping increase radiance and plumpness of cells.
My favorite part of the event was the makeup section. They debuted a new foundation brush that is perfect for stippling. Each strand is contoured so that your makeup reaches every contour of your face. Its cute and small enough to slip into your purse for overnight trips. I also loved their eye makeup. The audio tour led me through Dick Page’s ideas behind each color. For one dark black eye shadow, named Caviar, he said that he bought some caviar, placed it in a bathtub and added oils and other confections. The color that came out inspired the Caviar eye shadow. I was uber excited when I was told I could pick 3 eye colors. I chose the Techno Gold, the Caviar and the Meadow. I love the combination of gold, green and black. One of the makeup artists tried the Meadow with Caviar on me and I loved it!
