T.J. Maxx and Marshalls Fall Trends

This week I spent my morning with Alison Deyette, learning about the ins and outs of her job as a buyer for T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, Fall trends and of course the beauty of shopping!

I mostly shop at department stores. However, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls are two of my favorite places because I know I will always find quality, in-season clothing for less. I love the whole experience of stumbling upon that one piece (or a few) that I saw in a magazine or boutique.

This time it was no different! During the event,  we got to play a role of a buyer and pick out our top 5 must-have items. All of the participants did such a great job with shoes (leopard wedges and oxford heels), statement accessories (gloves with detailing and print scarves), and I still can’t forget those leather leggings from Helmut Lang. My partner and I picked out 5 bags, including Mongolian Lamb clutch for only $50 which Alison Deyette wanted for herself!

This season’s trends include sheer blouses, animal print, full skirts, knit cardigans, riding boots, skinny jeans and of course faux fur. Deep purple is the “it” color this Fall as well as detailed pieces like gloves with bows and zippers and big buttons on coats.

You can find the latest trends as well as internationally rare pieces in T.J. Maxx and Marshalls!

  1. Hi,
I bought the bag. It was such a great deal I had to fit into my carry on to bring back to LA!
