Tech Help: How To Get All Your iPhone Pictures In An Album Or On Your Computer
I started to read help forums about the iPhone last night because I really wanted to get all my images OFF of my phone. I have about 1100 of them and I wasn’t about to start emailing the lot to myself.
You know how it is, we hardly carry around cameras these days. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want all these cool shots I took with my iPhone camera! So, I started to test out some free transfer apps – some by reputable brands. None worked.
I took a chance and downloaded “PhotoSync”. It was $1.99 and I bit the bullet. Turns out it worked!!!
After you download the app on your phone, you also have to add PhotoSync to your computer.
From your phone, you go into the app and select all the photos you want to upload. YOU NEED TO BE CONNECTED TO WIFI. So, be sure you are home because it took a while to get all the shots off of my phone.
The app will then search for your computer and connect. PhotoSync will generate a zip and then upload it all to your computer.
Then I opened up my Shutterfly uploader and started to upload the files in increments of about 400. When you make photo albums, Shutterfly has a limit to how many images you can have at once. So, to save yourself heartache, just put them in a few different folders.
After you are certain everything is saved in Shutterfly, I would save the images on an external hard drive to be sure you keep all high resolutions. Then delete everything off of your phone!!
Now, you can start all over building up your photo gallery. It happens so quickly right!??
Hope this helps!
