Breakfast With Keurig: Who’s Thirsty?

Coffee is, hands down, my most important meal of the day, so I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to sit down to breakfast with Keurig and hear all about how their amazing line of machines.

My favorite thing about the Keurig machine is that it makes a fantastic cup of coffee in a compact machine. Living in New York, space is always at a premium so I appreciate how little space the Keurig machines takes up and how self contained they are. I love that you can make a cup of coffee in a snap and then dash out the door with no mess to clean up.

Another great thing about Keurig is how many different flavor choices they have, and the family of K-cups is only getting bigger. Keurig recently paired with Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks so now you can get your favorite coffee shop coffee in a K-cup! Other new additions include Green Mountain Hot Apple Cider K-cups, Tazo Tea K-cups and Chai Tea Latte K-cups which was my personal favorite because it has a spicy tea taste instead of an over sweetened sugary taste.

In addition to their wide array of K-cup flavors, Keurig also has their My K-cup accessory. This inexpensive little part switches into your machine to let you brew with any ground coffee so you can enjoy your favorite coffee on your Keurig machine even if it doesn’t come in a K-cup. I also really liked the My K-cup option because it reduces the trash from the K-cups making your Keurig machine more environmentally friendly.

  1. I have the mini keurig, and we really love it. The only thing about it that bothers me is brewing in that plastic – I know it’s so unhealthy. Plus, the K-cups get pricey, when you drink as much coffee as I do. I am definitely going to look into the K-cup accessory. I wonder if it works with the mini – I guess it would, right?

As an aside, I am so glad to hear they are partnering with Starbucks! WOOT!

  2. We love, love, LOVE our K-cup brewer! It can get kind of expensive, but you can buy little steel lids for sale on e-bay and reuse the plastic k-cup with your own coffee.
