I am so ready for summer with this crazy NY weather! I got a peek at Ann Taylor’s Summer 2012 Collection and it only made me yearn for flip flops and sun dresses even more. I LOVE all the color!! It’s literally a rebirth of all things fun, this season. Here are some trends that I’m loving.
Orange: This summer’s orange is a warm gentle-on-the-eyes orange. Best worn in flowing, simple silhouettes, this color looks great on all skin tones. Pair it with chunky neutral jewelry for a daytime look or luxurious shots of delicate gold for an elegant dinner date.
Chunky Vintage-Inspired Jewelry: I love that jewelry is still having it’s moment this summer at Ann Taylor. Statement necklaces and bracelets can take that simple white dress up a few notches and add major interest.
Turquoise and Blue: Yes, it’s the colors of the ocean. We’re being literal here. Ann Taylor does a simple sheath with a shirt hem in blue and it just works. This color is elegant and cool, like a breeze. Just looking at it makes me more calm.
Venise Lace: This thick lace screams decadence. It sets this tank apart from the sea of summer tanks.
Colored Snakeskin: I LOVE this one! Snakeskin is so chic and color makes it look younger and more vibrant. I love the matching shoes and handbags at Ann Taylor. I’m always torn about matching too much but I just may have to make an exception, here. If you’re not ready to commit to it, try it in a skinny belt.
