Last night, Gillette Venus & Olay held an event to introduce everyone to their new razor and to chat with Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen. Gillette Venus & Olay came together to create this 5-blade razor that is just amazing. It comes with shaving cream in a little block on it so you don’t have to spend extra money on shaving cream. This is the first time that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has had an official razor so Gillette Venus & Olay are really honored that they chose this razor. Chrissy Teigen was on hand to chat about the experience of shooting for the magazine and the new razor. She is, btw, beyond stunning in person.
How do you prep for the shoot?
Chrissy: One day before the shoot, it’s all about exfoliating the skin so it’s nice and smooth for the shoot.
Tell us about partnering with Gillette Venus & Olay.
Chrissy: I’m a twice a day shaver. There’s usually a 6 hour break in shooting so the photographer and his assistants, they go surfing. I go back to my room to shave because some of the swimsuits are, like, a branch! So I like to make sure my skin is smooth and hair-free. When I travel, it’s easy to pack this razor because then, I don’t have to pack shaving cream. When I love something, I really freakin’ love it and I really love this razor! I think it’s important to represent something that women can relate to.
Do you work out?
Chrissy: I do pilates. I don’t even feel it except in my legs. You always feel it in the legs.
What is your favorite location?
Chrissy: I love the Maldives. It was where I had my first Sport Illustrated shoot and my fiance and I got engaged at the same resort.
While we chatted with Chrissy, we got a bit of pampering with manis and pedis, as well as leg treatments. I shaved with the Gillette Venus & Olay razor before so I was prepped and ready. As the first razor of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, it really is a step above the rest.
