Luxury Cruising With The Kids? Yes, It’s Possible With The Disney Fantasy Cruise

Cheers everyone!!

Champagne was flowing freely as we sailed away from our Floridian port and no one was complaining! If you are looking for a cruise line that offers both luxurious amenities AND enough activities to keep your children occupied – consider the Disney Fantasy Cruise.

Here’s a few photos of the private concierge deck. The only travelers that are allowed in the vicinity are the ones who booked suites on the concierge levels. We had a few moments to check it out and now I’m HOOKED.

The ship is grand to say the least. When you walk into the Disney Fantasy for the first time, this is what you are greeted with. That first impression is so very important and Disney certainly hit it out the park. The lobby is saturated with small details that make all the difference. I mean… the chandelier alone is a masterpiece. I found myself sort of slowing down each time I walked through the center because I knew there was more magic to be found.

Another point I want to mention is that even though this is a DISNEY cruise – you don’t have DISNEY in your face all day long. I think about 75% of the ship is neutral. If you want the characters, you’ll find them. But if you just want to relax and enjoy your day without the added layer of magic, that’s possible too.

Besides the pool and the spa, parents can enjoy a multitude of shows alongside their children. These shows were specifically created keeping everyone in your group in mind. I just came back from watching the Aladdin show and I was amazed. It was GREAT and this is coming from a girl who lived in NYC her whole life. I’ve been to dozens and dozens of Broadway shows. It was Broadway but better. The Disney Fantasy team infused a wide array of technology making this show not only current but really entertaining. It was a great mix of the old and the new and I have a feeling competitors will begin to follow this formula.

I also loved how the characters would run up and down the aisles of the theatre. You really felt part of it all which I appreciated. You never really knew what was going to happen next. Whether it be in door fireworks, or streamers falling from the ceiling – it was a real pleasure to watch.

Dining on the Disney Fantasy was also a surprise. When you hear about “cruise food” it’s usually all negative . Well, the few meals I’ve had while on board (and believe me – I’m ordering a lot each time I sit down just so I can taste it) have all been WONDERFUL. Great services, tasty food, and an unforgettable atmosphere equals one great sit down dinner.

When you want alone time with your significant other, there are plenty of bars and lounges to choose from .Pictured above is Ooh La La – a luscious looking lounge that not only serves up an amazing atmosphere, but also serves champagne that you can only drink on the Disney Cruise Lines. Talk about exclusive!!

Check back tomorrow to see photos of actives your children will enjoy.
