The Summer of Color is here. And if you are by Rockefeller Center in New York City, it’s at Loft. On June 1, Loft debuted its first Concept Store at their Rockefeller Center location. The store is laid out like a boutique and features Loft’s Signature Style closets. I don’t know anyone one whose closet is this well-organized, but as far as conceits designed to enhance the shopping experience, Loft’s delivers. Each section of the store is merchandised to coordinate clothes with complimentary accessories, with each “closet” reflecting a specific style or look.
But regardless of the store’s layout, I was struck mostly by the loveliness of Loft’s new Summer collection. My favorite pieces from the collection are the tan eyelet shorts and the clear/neon-rimmed sunglasses (as pictured below).
I thought this particular look, on Jen from Loft, of the ikat print linen pants with an off-the-shoulder metallic top was stunning. With the addition of a bright pop of blue in the form of a carefully added belt, her look epitomizes Summer 2012.
