One of my friend’s celebrates her birthday for 7 days straight. She calls it her birthday week. I think it’s absolutely hilarious and have since stolen the idea and incorporated it into my family’s traditions. This week is Natalie’s “birthday week”. She turned seven yesterday (I can’t believe it) and has had complete control over our activities.

Benihana is my F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E restaurant. I don’t care that it’s a chain. I don’t care that I leave that place smelling like chicken. I don’t care that I eat until it almost makes me sick. I would eat there once a week if my husband allowed me to.

And thankfully… my daughter feels the same way. So, when I turned to her on Saturday and asked her where she wanted to eat… I just KNEW what she was going to say. And she said it. Woot! Woot!

We went with another couple and their child and had so much fun.

I can’t believe 7 years have passed since having that little pumpkin. It’s surreal if I think about it. It’s part of life. I get it. But that doesn’t mean that I have to like it!!
