Staying Hydrated In The Summer
I’ve gotten into the habit of carrying around a water bottle with me. This summer is promising to be brutal and it’s important to stay equipped with one of these puppies at all time. Besides, drinking water does a body good, right?
A friend of mine gave me this Camelbak Eddy Water Bottle and I am in love with it! You bite down to open up the top and have the option of using a straw or not. It holds 32 ounces of liquid so I try to refill at least once a day.
Do you carry around a water bottle during the summer?
In case you aren’t familiar with the signs, here are a few to look out for to determine whether not you or someone in your family is overexposed to heat:
- Heavy sweating. But if heat stroke sets in, the body can no longer compensate and stops sweating.
- Pale skin
- Muscle cramps
- Feeling tired and weak
- Altered mental status (confusion or disorientation)
- Becoming semi-conscious, or passing out.
- Nausea or vomiting
