I was sitting in my backyard yesterday afternoon while my kids played and noticed how long it’s been since I had a pedicure. I didn’t have time to run out to my nail salon but still wanted to do SOMETHING about it.
I grabbed a baking dish from my kitchen, Pantene shampoo and my pedicure buffer. Used the hose and soaked my feet until they wrinkled. Then I scrubbed away. The kids were on their slip and slide, Bill was building out my chicken wire cage to protect my new vegetable garden and I was getting my soles summer ready.
Naturally, once I was finished… my daughter stole it from me. But that’s not the point! The point is I took care of myself while at home with the kids. Sure, it wasn’t a spa pedicure - but the bottom of my feet are just as smooth. So, who cares?
And it kept my kids occupied for another 20 minutes or so. I’ll take it!
