I Could Cry! My First Garden Sprouts: Square Foot Gardening

I am so happy right now! I woke up this morning all ready for the 4th of July. Grabbed my tea, make pancakes for the kids and then headed out to see my little square foot garden in my backyard. I just about fell on the floor when I saw my sprouts!! They are coming through already! I am DYING!!!!

Please don’t mind my terrible handwriting, but here is my first cucumber. Seriously I want to cry! I am so happy!!!!!!

And i know you can’t see this sign, but it says cherry radishes. I need to now take a scissor and clip the weakest links. There should only be one plant growing in each section. The book I suggested last week told me to plan 3 seeds per hole. So, it’s not a lot of work to correct each box.

I keep joking with my husband that he better be hungry! I have a feeling one 4×4 box would have been enough for us – but I either go big or go home. He’s lucky I’m not sneaking out and putting a third box out there. LOL! I cannot WAIT TO COOK WITH MY VEGETABLES!!!!
