It’s been a while since I’ve taken pictures of my square foot garden. Lots of activity going on! I definitely need to start reading about picking and pruning. Looks like some of these plants will be ready to produce over the next few weeks.
My string beans are growing nicely! No pods yet or anything – but they are certainly filling out.
And my basil is… awesome! I picked a few leaves today for the first time. Going to make pizza on bagels for lunch.
Felt good to hold them in my hand – feel like it’s actually happening. Me? A gardener? Who would have thunk it?

This is my first year gardening. Although I’ve made some mistakes I love it. Last night I served a caprese salad with tomatoes and basil from my garden! Tonight I will make fresh spaghetti sauce also from my garden. Awesome!,

That looks so awesome! I put our basil in a chunky tomato sauce the other night and it was so good. Can’t wait until everything else is ready!
