Green Goo… But Oh So Good

My friend Jen told me about this veggie drink that she can’t get out of her mind. It’s available from our local Natural market and consists of Kale, Spinach, Apples and Lemons. She told me she CRAVES it and that I should absolutely try it – especially since I’m not so good about eating my green veggies. Well, I did… and I LOVED IT.

My one complaint is that is comes out warm. I wish there was a way to crush some ice and blend it before passing it along to the customer. I had to wait until I got home to plop a few ice cubes in the cup before finishing the concoction.

It’s so healthy and it tastes so good. Almost makes me want to buy a juicer!! Do you juice at home? What do you blend?

  • I have a Champion juicer (the best!) and my usual blend is:
    2 carrots
    2 handfuls of kale
    1/2 lemon with peel
    2 apples
and any other fruit I may have laying around

Makes enough for 2 large glasses and tastes mostly citrus-y due to the lemon.

I like the champion juicer because you can make sorbet (just feed through frozen fruit) or your own nut butters.
