Roomarama – An Affordable Alternative for NYC Accomodations

New York City is notoriously expensive in terms of accomodations. Eating and entertainment you can do on the cheap if you want to…but hotels? Not so much. Even a crappy hostel way away from the center of town will cost you exorbitant amounts of money! Which is why I was so thrilled at the idea of Roomarama for NYC.

I was going to NYC with Seba and some of our friends so we needed a place big enough for all of us that wouldn’t break the bank. And we found the perfect little spot in Midtown on Roomarama! It was an amazing location, within walking distance of tons of bars and restaurants, not to mention Central Park, the MOMA and more. We were beyond thrilled to be right at the heart of everything that was going on in the city! We would’ve never been able to afford hotel rooms in the same neighborhood but the Roomarama apartment, split between the 5 of us was reasonable.

In true NYC fashion, the apartment was absolutely tiny. Having been to NYC and seeing some of my friends’ living quarters I was expecting this. The Chileans I was with though, were shocked at how small the place was. But that being said, we squeezed in and made it work for a week! Anyways, when you’re in NYC how much time do you actually spend inside your place of lodging anyways? If you’re doing it right, not much!

Roomarama is a fantastic alternative to staying in expensive hotels. Not to mention, it’s nice to have your kitchen and fridge and feel like you have a place where you can make yourself at home for a week. If you’re looking for a place to stay, anywhere in the world, that won’t break the bank, check out their website for your travel plans!
