My daughter doesn’t typically pick chapter books from the library. She is still into reading books filled with pictures. But as a second grader, it’s TIME to move on and get into some sort of series. While speaking with friends during after school pick up, I put together a great list. Wanted to share just in case you had a girl who was in either the second or third grade that hasn’t found a story she loved yet.

Great list! We read lots of these and I’m seeing a lot of new titles we need to check out. Other ideas – Ivy & Bean, American Girl books, and the Clementine series too. Barbie also has some good Junior Novelizations that Kenzie adores. Thanks for the tips! xo

Thanks for sharing this with us. It is a good idea to label books. We are alyaws taking books along with us when we visit people who do not have kids (or toys) for our kids to play with. Often times, things get left behind.
