Getting Your Kids To Drink More Water #BottlesforKids (VIDEO)

It’s hard to teach your children to NOT drink soda when all their friends are running around with cans in their hands. But as long as you are firm – they will understand.  Did you know that only 15% if school-age kids drink the recommended amount of water? That’s horrible! And don’t get me wrong – I have to constantly remind myself to grab a glass as well. It doesn’t come so easy for me, but it’s part of my life and I make sure it’s part of my kids’ lives as well.

One way I ensure that my kids are doing the right thing is… by doing the right thing myself. I make sure the children see me drinking water all day long. Sure, I add a little lemon or lime on occasion. At this point, they think that’s a treat! Our children are sponges! Make sure they are picking up the right habits from you.

I sat down with Natalie to talk about the importance of water… and she blew my mind. She grabbed her after school drink and gulped it down right on camera. Unprompted mind you! She is such a ham, I swear. Take a look at our conversation and let me know what you think.

That’s one way I’ve helped my kids discover the wonders of water. Brita’s new product, the Brita Bottle for Kids, now provides an easy and fun way to have clean, filtered H2O on the go.

Now I’m curious, how do you encourage your kids to drink more water? Reply below and one of my readers will win a $50 Visa gift card!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Brita. The opinions and text are all mine. Official Sweepstakes Rules.

  • I try to make sure they drink a glass once a day.
I make sure we always have water containers with us on the go to keep them hydrated.
I have to get better though.
