Ok gang! This is my third attempt at purchasing a proper pressure cooker and I am pretty happy. Pressure cookers scare me to DEATH. I’m being honest here. But the Living Well Pressure Cooker from Montel Williams is very user friendly. It takes all the guess work out of cooking and I couldn’t be happier.
I ended up making the purchase through QVC while watching my boy David Venable. He is just too cute and I love the faces he makes when he eats something he likes. LOL. My husband makes fun of me for being so obsessed – but so is life.
The steam release is probably the scariest part about a pressure cooker. When I tried my first meal, I pretty much thought the pressure cooker was going to explode in my kitchen. I literally walked away and removed myself from that part of the house. I know some people are so used to cooking their recipes in a pressure cooker… but not me! I didn’t know what to expect.
So, I made this video for you so you can see what it looks like at the end of the cooking session. You have to release all the steam that is locked inside before you can open the top of your pressure cooker. I was surprised by how much came out – check it out so you will be knowledgeable of what to expect.
I put just a few ingredients into the Living Well Pressure Cooker:
- 4 Potatoes
- A handful of chopped carrots
- Chicken breast marinated in an orange cranberry sauce
- 1 package of Knorr Chicken Stock
- 1.5 cups of water (might have put too much of this)
- Salt and pepper
This was BARE BONES. I was just testing the whole thing out and it was great!! The Living Well Pressure Cooker has buttons on the front that makes it mindless. Are you cooking? Are you browning? Are you stewing? You choose your setting and the time / pressure is automatically selected.
I have one more recipe to share. On those days where I can’t get it together -I’m going to be whipping out the Living Well Pressure Cooker by Montel Williams to get my home cooked meals on the table. I’m really trying to limit the amount of times we order out. This is going to help me do just that!
The Living Well Pressure Cooker retails for $130 on QVC.

I absolutely love my Living Well Pressure Cooker. My husband is a tug captain and we just purchased a 2nd one for the tug. I used the ‘Stew’ function mostly and love the fact that I can have a pot of pinto beans done in less that an hour or beef stew or chicken noodle soup in less than 30 minutes. It’s perfect.
