Far East Movement, HP & Windows 8 Private Concert & Cocktail Party

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a Private Concert and Cocktail Party with Far East Movement, the hot new band behind the hit “Like A G6″. This was to celebrate the launch of Windows 8 and HP‘s announcement of their new lineup of customer and business PCs that are designed to work with Windows 8.

The party was so much fun. There were huge interactive games that guests played while we waited for Far East Movement. We also got a chance to play with some of the new devices. Some of the standout products launching are a hybrid PC with a detachable screen and an ultra-thin all-in-one desktop. These will enable users to get familiar with Windows 8 and HP TouchSmart Technology. This was particularly fun to play with. The lights on the ceiling were able to be controlled by the touch screen technology. Aerial dancers manipulated the stunning images for an incredible show.

A major area of focus was the width and weight of these devices. HP knows that consumers want more from their devices but also want the option of carrying it around, if needed. The tablet that I played with was super light. It was unbelievable!

The performance by Far East Movement was high energy and a sight to behold. The back of the stage was lit with a stunning light show that changed according to the song and beat. It suited Far East Movement’s edgy, pop vibe. Far East Movement debuted a few of the songs off their new album, Dirty Bass. Full of futuristic pop tunes that party-goers live for, these guys are sure to be rocking many a club.
