I went to the doctor yesterday for my weekly appointment and actually put a little makeup on. You know any chance I have to whip out my mascara… I DO! 
WELLLLLLLL, when my daughter came home she was surprised. She walked right up to my bed and said, ”You have makeup on. Where did you go?”
So accusatory! I told her we went to the doctor and that sort of satisfied her. But I think it’s so fun that she KNEW I had left the house all because I had a little eye makeup on. I guess my kids have officially gotten used to me looking like a hot mess.
Speaking of hot mess… my GREY hair is out of control.
There’s only one place that I grow grey hair. It’s all consolidated on the right front side of my head. I don’t have random greys anywhere else. For a few years, I got rid of the blonde and went with brown but ended up NOT being able to keep the look because my grey hair would be so prominent with that color selection.
The highlights really hide the grey. Well, when I actually am able to GET the highlights. It’s been MONTHS since I’ve gone to the salon. And not only are my roots atrocious but my grey hairs are LONG and STRONG. The above shot that I used of myself has been Instagrammed. SO you can’t really get the full effect.
The DAY I get off of bed rest, my “you know what” is heading STRAIGHT to my salon. Like… a 9AM appointment. In fact, I think I’m going to make the appointment today just to be SURE I have it on file. I cannot WAIT to get back to normal.

My skin (I need major exfoliation but can’t stay in the shower long enough to take care of myself).
Thank GOODNESS I did laser hair removal many years ago!! My legs have been completely manageable during the last few months. It was the best money I ever spent!!!!
This is good news and bad. The bad news is my husband has to look at me like this all day long. The good news is I am no longer spending my entire day stressing over whether or not I am going to be able to birth a healthy child. I have gotten to a good place in this pregnancy and now my mind is able to wander to more… superficial things. Like pedicures! LOL

I’ve never been on bed rest before so I never thought about stuff like shaving or getting a haircut or any of the other things you mentioned. I’m so glad you are in a safe place with your baby boy and can start planning what you’ll do first when the bed rest is over!
