Field Report: Custo Barcelona Fall 2013 #NYFW #MBFW
“Beauty and The Beast”, the name of the Custo Barcelona Fall 2013 runway show could truly be called that. The models, both male and female, came down the catwalk in one stunning look after another.
The show was a plethora of embellishments, prints, stripes, tribal, bohemian looks, and fur. Crisp geometric silhouettes created a wonderful contrast. The most dynamic look for women: the teal, gold metallic and black multi stripe mini dress and matching coat. For men, it was the belted geo pattern wool coat with leather shoulders and black leather pants. The rich dark neutral color palette was infused with teal, magenta, rust, and metallic. They looked stunning in the patterned and color blocked dresses, jumpsuits, jackets, suits, and tops in the collection.
One of the most interesting things about the collection: it was serious fashion, and playful at the same time, not an easy feat to pull off. Custo is known for colorful pattern and fabric mixes, they have taken the label to a new level of sophistication that will widen their audience for sure.
Custo Barcelona’s Fall 2013 was a true treat, full of interesting looks that grabs attention.
