petitePARADE Stride Rite Fashion Show Fall 2013 #StrideRiteRunway

I wore a lot of Stride Rite shows when growing up, so naturally, I was excited to attend the Stride Rite Children’s Fashion Show this weekend as part of the petitePARADE fashion week. I have two words to describe the show – absolutely adorable.

Both the outfits and the kids walking down the aisle were absolutely adorable!

The Show featured Stride Rite, Sperry Top-Sider Kids, Keds Kids and Saucony Kids that were paired with looks curated by leading stylist Jennifer Smith.

I had the chance to speak with Stride Rite’s Marketing Manager Malinda Freitas about the show and the outfits and here’s what she had to say:

Jennifer Smith was great to work with. She understood what our vision and did an amazing job. We wanted to create outfits for the kids in a fashionable way, but still make them real kids. The Show was about showcasing fashionable and bright outfits for back-to-school. From the Stride Rite accessories to clothing from Sperry and shoes from Keds and Saucony. We wanted to create a cohesive look even though each brand has a different style. It was all about color and fun.

The opening set was fun with these three girls in blazer suit sets

The outfits that came down the runway were indeed fun and colorful

How cute are these two girls with their outfits? Especially the tutu! I can see my lil lady insisting on wearing this to school one day. And did you know that Stride Rite has accessories like the knee socks shown in the second photo?

I saw a few outfits where shoe and stocking colors were mixed-and-matched or what I like to call “ying-yang” outfits. Brought me back to the Punky Browster days.

Being that back-to-school is synonymous with Fall Fashion, the kids were sporting cute petty coats too. The little girl who sported the red coat also fantastically closed out the show for the evening.

The colors and combinations from all the outfits were fantastic, but as a mom of one son (I do have a little girl too), I really fell in love with each of the outfits for boys.

Overall, loved their outfits and can’t forget how fabulous the kids were too.

  • Amazing pictures .All the children look great. I especially love the little boy with gray sweater and scarf biting his lip.

    • Thank you! They were such cuties. Especially the little boy in the grey sweater he did a few things with his hands and arms. And the little girl in the red coat too. She was made for the runway.

  • Hi Rita , do you know of any sites I may be able to view the sunday 3/10 petite parade ? Thank you . Hope all is well.

    • Specifically no. But if you’re on twitter, you can search under the hashtag #StrideRiteRunway and that should lead you to some posts from other attendees.
