Last week, I had the opportunity to check out some amazing brands while attending ‘The Parenting Experience by Cercone Brown’ in NYC. Here is a round up of some of my favorite finds.
Are you looking for a safe, on trend BUT AFFORDABLE stroller? Check out Summer Infant. The styles resemble the high end designer lines that could run you almost $1K. But they don’t! Love that!! Happy to see chic styles in reasonable price ranges come available to the market.
Summer Infant also has this amazing monitor that you control via your smart phone. You can check in on your child wherever you go. While we were in NYC, the PR rep was able to show us her daughter’s room in Boston (and move the camera around). Really great!! The Peek Plus is a MUST OWN for new moms.
I fell in love with Muck Boots – especially the kids line. These waterproof boots are just perfect for your little ones because they are water resistant all the way to the top of the boot. Most shoes stop around the ankle (which do us moms NO GOOD). Muck Boots are resistant all the way THROUGH. With all the heavy snow we’ve been getting each year, I now know what boot I’m going to lean on next year!
- Stretch-fit topline binding snugs calf to keep warmth in and cold out
- Fleece lining
- 100% waterproof, lightweight and flexible
- Durable, natural rubber shell
- Comfort range of sub-freezing conditions to 85°
While I am all set in the nursery furniture department, I did want to post pictures of the La Jobi Treasured Beginnings set. How absolutely stunning! I never thought about grey colored furniture for children – but WOW what a set!! Fell head over heels in love with the three piece set the brand had on the floor. You should absolutely check out the line if you are in the market for nursery furniture.
Then we headed on over to the laundry section! Snuggle was on board and showed us exactly how serious they are about static control. They took two balloons and proved to us that their brand really does get rid of static. By rubbing one of their dryer sheets onto a balloon, it prevented it from sticking to the wall. The balloon that wasn’t rubbed with the dryer sheet stuck to the wall without an issue!
What else can you do with your dryer sheets you ask? Snuggle has a few suggestions:
For diapers: Keep your used dryer sheets in your diaper bag, and roll one up in the diaper to prevent odors before you have to chance to throw it away
Keep bugs away: Tuck some in your picnic basket or under lawn furniture to repel bees from your juicy flesh and encourage them back to the flowers, where they belong. You can also rub a sheet directly on your bare skin to discourage would- be buggers from leaving their mark.
Need some sleep: Keep a fabric-softener sheet in your pillow case and under your mattress or mattress pad for sweet dreams of summer all year ‘round.
Next up – we headed on over to the ALL station. The rep took two grass stained clothes and washed one with All and one with a competitor. Guess who came out the cleanest? You guessed right!
This year, together with Snuggle, All has announced a multi-year, exclusive partnership as the official laundry products sponsor of Little League Baseball and Softball to help moms (and dads) get those tough grass and clay stains out. Love this!
I officially have washer and dryer envy….
MAN OH MAN DO I EVER!! LG was showcasing two of their models and I could literally sit in both of the washers they had on the floor. My washer at home is about HALF the size. WHO KNEW that washers could be this big??? Here are some details:
LG’s Front-Control Top-Load Washer
- LG’s Front-Control design is a revolutionary spin on the traditional top-load washer. By moving the control panel from the back to the front, the buttons and LED display are easier to read and use – along with a sleek, stylish design.
- This model features 4.5 cubic feet of capacity which is unique for the top-load washer, allowing users to do more laundry in fewer loads.
LG’s TurboWash Front-Load Washer
- LG’s innovative TurboWash™ technology allows users to save 20 minutes per load, even with larger loads of laundry, while still offering outstanding cleaning performance.
- This model offers an “Allergiene” cycle where the power of steam removes over 95% of common household allergens along with those dreaded wrinkles, dirt, and odors.
I live and die for New Balance — so it was so nice to be able to check out some of their new kid and adult styles for 2013. All jokes aside, I have only owned New Balance sneakers since I was 15 years old. Obsessed!
Seventh Generation has introduced the first complete line of USDA certified biobased baby personal care products. This includes everything from Baby shampoo and wash to lotion to bubble bath and more. My personal favorite is the baby sunscreen. This is Caleb’s first summer – and you KNOW I grabbed a few of these bottles to get ready for the warmer months. Everything is hypo-allergenic, tear-free, contains no parabens, fragrances, or glutens.
