Daily Diary: This New Yawker Should Do Voice Ovvvaaaahhh Work? What?!
I am so HAPPY it is Tuesday! That means I’ve checked off every single thing on my work list of things to do. As soon as I land in NY tonight at 11PM, I’m going to throw my bags on the floor, lightly kiss my babies and collapse into bed… and not get out until Friday.
So, Arizona is pretty cool… or should I say HOT. But I am loving all the cacti that I am seeing. They are all alongside the highway and within neighborhood streets. People just have these 12 foot cacti on their front lawn. I LOVE IT!!! Before I leave, I’m going to take a picture of a few and post it. I’ve never seen a cactus before… well, except the small ones that are sold at Home Depot. That was really special for me.
I flew here to do a shoot with Dreft. We had a full day of videoing – 5 in all. There was a baby here for me to work with. She was just too precious AND TINY. She was 2 months old but so much smaller than Caleb. I couldn’t get over the size difference!! What a doll.
This is what I ended up wearing. But they didn’t want to keep the shirt tucked in. They kept it out because they said it looked more casual that way. I went with it. PS my feet are killing me.
When it was time to actually speak… the group all said I sounded like a professional voice-over actress and that I should consider looking into finding that sort of work.
If you watch my videos – you know I have a …………. slight………………. New York accent. But in all honesty, if I REALLY concentrate I can turn it off. The only time I can’t turn off the accent is when I am excited or angry about something. Once I get riled up, Queens just start oozing out my pores. LOL.
Anyway, it was a long day but it was a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to seeing the end result.
