I am ON THE BALL FOLKS! It’s only been a MONTH since Getting Gorgeous happened! You’d think the co-FOUNDER would find a second to get the recap post up on her blog prior to that. But alas, this sinking ship is just coming afloat. So, forgive me!
Lots of pictures to share from Getting Gorgeous 2013. Audrey and I had a great time hosting this year and BOY did we have a fantastic sponsor line up! I am still in awe of all the great names that were lining those walls.
Let’s hop right in!
We were HONORED to have CVS as our title sponsor for the second year in a row! They offered up a beauty station where attendees could get pampered while learning about the latest and greatest in the beauty world. Hair, Nails, Makeup and…
the amazing CVS Beauty Club wheel! Attendees had a chance to spin the wheel and win prizes! SO MUCH FUN!
CVS ExtraCare was aslo on hand to teach people about the benefits of using their ExtraCare Card. Don’t get me started!!! You know how obsessed I am with shopping at CVS — it’s like my LIFE MISSION to get everyone I know to coupon there on Sunday with me. LOL.
Thyme Maternity showcased their summer line as well as their nursing collection. I had such a great time wearing their clothing during the last two trimesters of my pregnancies. I was REALLY happy to have them with us this year.
Bacardi was our drink sponsor and the bloggers LOVED THEM! They offered a “make your own drink” station which included flower garnishes that were OH SO FAB! And yes, they were edible.
New Balance – something that I will be living and dying in for the next few months to get rid of this excess baby weight – showcased their sneaker and their fitness apparel lines (including the new one from Heidi Klum).
Dial was on board to show off their new kid shampoo and conditioner! The children that were in attendance had a LOT of fun at this booth!!
Thread and Butter was a HIT! We made sure to have a plus size line this year because it was a request we heard over and over again in 2012. So HAPPY they were part of the mix.
And of course a Getting Gorgeous event wouldn’t be complete without some jewelry! Jade and Jasper gave away some fantastic pieces to the group.
Coolibar – a company that I have fallen in love with – taught our group how to look GREAT this summer while still protecting our skin against harmful UV rays. Everyone walked away with that fab hat!
Ah choo! I am a woman who suffers from allergies. So you better believe I was happy to have Puffs in the Getting Gorgeous room!
A girl needs shades right? Our summer section wouldn’t have been complete without Foster Grant. I LOVE that these sunglasses are on trend and priced RIGHT. Available at your local CVS too!
Selfie time! Downy and Tide had a little fun this year and taught the Getting Gorgeous group how to take a better selfie picture with their iPhones. You know the bloggers appreciated that!
And Stokke made everyone drool with their line of sleek and chic strollers and high chairs. Every time I use my Stokke stroller, I get STOPPED on the street. WHERE DID YOU GET THAT STROLLER?! Love it!
How fast can you stuff a trunk filled with baby goods? That was the game that GM played outside the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC. Participants had a blast and walked away with prizes for the fastest times logged.
Haute Tags showed our social media mavens how to showcase their Twitter handles with style. LOVE that you can wear your handle on jewelry. So fun!
Last but not least, we had Love JAC handmade greeting cards. We are all SO VIRTUAL! It’s nice to see a company that is bringing us back to the basics. The owners take the photos (or use old ones from their childhood). Made in Brooklyn. Love. Love. Love.
What a GREAT YEAR! Thank you again to everyone who attended. Audrey and I had a wonderful time putting this one together — looking forward to 2014!!!
