Last weekend, I had the chance to spend an afternoon aboard the Celebrity Cruise Summit alongside my husband during a press event. The boat was getting ready to head down to Bermuda and guests were filling up the decks getting ready for 7 days of fun. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out how I could stow away without getting caught.

Then I realized I had three kids at home I had to worry about… and had to accept the fact that I could only stay on board for 6 hours. Hoo Hummmmm

After a quick tour around one of the decks, we headed for lunch. People were already in the pool! I loved how no one was wasting any time – despite still being docked in NJ.

Qsine

The restaurant of choice? Qsine. You have the ability to make reservations at Qsine up to 4 days prior to your sailing date and I suggest you do because the food was flipping fantastic. I haven’t cruised much. In fact, I’ve only cruised ONCE. So, I wasn’t used to the whole “unlimited dining” mentality.

And the misconception about cruising is that the food will be mediocre at best. At least, that’s what I thought. I never imagine I’d get an excellent meal at sea. This, my friends, was an excellent meal.

Here’s a look at the menu that we sampled. I didn’t have to pick by the way. I ate every single thing on the menu.

Ridiculous. Did I mention that the menus are on iPads? So FUN! Qsine was the world’s first restaurant to have its menu and wine list presented on an iPad, which everyone at the table receives.

As if that wasn’t enough – we also enjoyed signature cocktails from mixologost Josh Durr. Celebrity has partnered up with the Hawthorn Beverage Group to create a handful of unique drinks that guests can enjoy while cruising with the brand.

Then it was off to the Celebrity Summit SPA – you know that was my favorite part of the whole day. They let us try out some of the relaxation rooms and I just did not want to leave.  You obviously will not be able to get the full effect from these pictures – but believe me – it was a great space.

Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to jump in the pool or get a facial… but that just gives me more reason to return!!

At the spa, you can get your teeth whitened, participate in a cellulite reduction program, receive acupuncture, wrinkle treatments,  cheek lift, spray tanning and MORE!! Believe me – it’s not just about facials and massages anymore.  Though I would be very happy with the latter for a few days.

And if you are a fitness fanatic they have you covered in that department as well. Boot camps, yoga, cycling programs etc.  Something for everyone.

Do you cruise? Have you checked out Celebrity Cruises before? Everyone who was on the boat was VERY excited. Drinks in one hand and towels in another. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a week if you ask me. I saw enough children on the boat that it made me feel comfortable booking a trip for all 5 of us. But at the same time, there were a TON of couples as well. GREAT MIX.

And that LUNCH! Oh my – I can’t stop thinking about all the amazing food I enjoyed. Cruising has definitely gotten a facelift over the years.
