jetBlue Launches TrueBlue Family Pooling Program
I’m a huge fan of jetBlue, so when I was invited to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the jetBlue offices in Long Island City, I jumped at the opportunity. As my airline of preference, I really appreciate the comfortable seats (which, by the way, are about to get SO much better), friendly staff, convenient routes and destinations, and of course, the yummy snacks. A major aspect of the jetBlue experience for me is the TrueBlue program, where I can earn loyalty points for flying with jetBlue, and earn credit toward future flights.
In my experience, the dashboard has been really easy to navigate and fun to plan with. My only issue with TrueBlue in the past was that I wasn’t able to share my points with my family, particularly when I was planning a trip for my grandmother to visit me from Florida one weekend. Although you have always been able to book a flight on behalf of someone else using your TrueBlue points, it was difficult to pool your points together. Now jetBlue has changed it up and perfected the experience with the newly launched Family Pooling program. Within this new program, families of up to 7 members can pool their TrueBlue points, and even plan for a dream vacation if they wish! There are no restrictions on who the family members can be (as long as the head of household is over the age of 21, and the children are under 21), and the best part: points now live on forever with no expiration dates! Points can be redeemed for anyone, but must be used by the designated head of household (typically the one who initiated the joint account). This is huge for any jetBlue enthusiast, especially families with young children, whose kids don’t travel too often, but still have a little bit of points on their account. Now that the points are pooled, families can earn easier and quicker, and get where they want to go.
