Every year, Bill and I make sure we bring the kids into Manhattan to take advantage of NYC during the holidays. There’s just SO MUCH TO DO AND SEE and I like to do it all in one swoop. Normally, we rent a room and do it over two days – but with Natalie’s broken foot – we really just wanted to get in and out. So, we climbed into our car at around 7AM and off we WENT.

First stop is ALWAYS Santaland at Macy’s on 34th street. I’ve been going there since I was a newborn myself! It was a family tradition I did not want to end. So… Bill and I just kept it going!

It was Caleb’s first year and while I did purchase the official photo from Macy’s – this one is my absolute favorite. It was taken while the children were asking for their presents. Caleb just kept staring at Santa and eventually Santa took notice and started to ask him what HE wanted for Christmas.  Too cute!

Then we headed to see the tree. Caleb was sleeping but we begged a passing family to take a photo of us all. We reciprocated of course!

While in the area, we let the kids relax a bit and play at the Nintendo store. Not going to talk about the MELT DOWN that happened when we told them it was time to leave.

Lunch at Bill’s Burger – somewhere we always go right before the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. I had a burger on a english muffin and I swear to you it was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in ages! MAN!

How does it all end?? Magnolia cupcakes!! YES!!! My favorite. The kids were BEGGING to eat them in the car but I made sure we waited until we got home. I have to sit and enjoy my Magnolia. WHAT A TREAT.
