Have Yourself A Fantastic Family Game Night with Toys “R” Us, Hasbro and Duracell #TurnOnGameNight (PLUS GIVEAWAY)

Operation Collage 7-3-14

Toys “R” Us, Hasbro and Duracell are teaming up to celebrate Family Game Night. Whether it’s a rainy day, cool evening or a night that the whole family is together, pulling out a board game is a great way to enjoy some quality family time together. It may be one of the best ways to bond with your kids, haver some laughs, and just hang with the family.

In this world of video, computer and phone apps, summer is a great time to unplug. I know for sure the need to unplug…and I know that my kids needs to do the same. While Family Game night is all about having “fun,” it also promotes essential skills, helps kids build self-confidence and creates lasting memories…and Toys “R” Us is the perfect one stop shop to pick up your favorite summer games!

Natalie, Liam, Bill, and I got our Family Game Night going with some Operation and Simon.  I mean, how amazingly great are these games? I used to love, love, love these games as a kid and Bill and I were so very happy to be able to play these same games with out kids. It’s just good, clean, wholesome, simple fun…the way it should be for kids. And he kids could not get enough…truly. They loved it so much, and it felt so great. We had a blast…we’ve already had two more Family Game Nights since this one!!! Even my baby Caleb got in on the action!!

When you’re at Toys “R” Us, don’t forget the batteries though! They ‘re often required, but not included with the game, so you’ll want to have plenty of fresh batteries, like Duracell Quantum, on hand. Did you know that Duracell Quantum batteries:

  • Have Hi-Density Core™ Technology for unbeatable long-lasting power
  • Only battery with PowerCheck™. Instantly check your power level at any time
  • Have Duralock Power Preserve™ Technology.  Guaranteed for 10 years in storage

I really recommend you start up your own Family Game Night and pick up some of these all time Hasbro game classics! You’ll have just as much fun as the kids…maybe even a little bit more.

  6. We don’t really have game ni9ght, but we do play a lot. We love card games and board games both.

  7. We do have a family game night, but it is typically with different games than listed above. My oldest son loves to play many of the games we have seen on the Geek and Sundry channel’s Tabletop. So, we play games like Elder Sign, Settlers of Catan, and Smallworld. My son is the right age to start playing more complicated games like these, so I enjoy the fact that I am able to play games I love with him.

  8. We play games a lot but don’t have an official night. We like Connect Four.

  9. We definitely need to pick up the family game night more again. We usually play the Wii and Yahtzee.

  10. We do have a Family Game night but it doesn’t happen as often as it should. Our primary game of choice is Scrabble.

  11. Love family game night! Apples to Apples and Catch Phrase are a couple of our favorites.

  12. No, we don’t have family game night. It would take forever to accomplish because our little on gets sidetracked haha.

  13. My daughter is still rather young, but has become interested in games, so we need to find some preschool options.

  14. We do, but not as consistently as we would like to. We’re currently hooked on Stratego.

  15. Yes we have a game night on the weekend, and right now its anything from card games, to monopoly and the game of life 😀
