Daily Diary: A Very Happy Father’s Day

Father's Day

Long gone are the days of perfect photos. You can sort of figure it out with two children. BUT THREE? Never in a million years! A rare commodity but you know what? I’m happy with our new normal. It’s reality! Liam is crazy. Caleb thinks it’s funny. Natalie keeps smiling and Bill is holding onto all three of them with his dear life because their childhood is slipping through our fingers.

I bought Bill a bag full of goodies – but here are a few of our favorite finds. First up — “stop talking” cards. Priceless. I thought they were literally hysterical. I started laughing out loud in the store because I visualized Bill handing them to the kids when things got out of hand… and it working. BLISS!

We also filled out a book answering questions revolving around how much the kids love Dad. I Love You Dad is a GREAT gift for any occasion. I simply had them sit down and each write in their responses. A few each day.

And then my gag gift to Bill was this card. HA! Happy Father’s Day DILF!!

You know – Dad I love Forever. 🙂

We went out to eat with his family and then headed back to their house for some dessert. Then we popped in a movie and cuddled up and watched a film until it was time to go to bed. A perfect day all around.

How did you spend the day?
